I use this Syngenta Advion gel cockroach killer outdoors string the perimeter of the house to kill the buggers before they enter the house. It also seems to draw out the ones that are living inside. One application is good for a few months depending on the time of year.

▶ Optigard Cockroach Gel Bait (rotate out every 3 months)

It is recommended to rotate out any cockroach killer bait every 3 months with another brand so that they do not build up a resistance (breed an immune population). Although Syngenta Advion has reduced immunity build up, it can still happen, so rotate it out with another cockroach killer.

German roaches which have the highest resistance adaptation. From what I understand, all cockroach bait should be used in rotation. "Cockroaches adapt quickly, which is why it's important to rotate gel baits to help manage potential aversion and resistance. Advion Evolution or Advion Cockroach, along with Optigard Cockroach Gel Bait, can be used as part of a recommended three-month rotation, which matches the average life cycle of a German cockroach."
