MASLOW 4 CNC Router Build And Modifications | Brushless Spindle Upgrade
I'm documenting the build of the MASLOW 4 CNC Router and modifications that will make it even more awesome. SPINDLE UPGRADE The default spindle that the MASLOW 4 CNC was designed for is the DEWALT DW611, which is a popular trim router used in a lot of benchtop CNC routers. However it's not designed for extended use in CNC routers. It's designed for short term use hand routing trim on countertops, etc. It's a brushed motor, so the brushes will wear out and need to be replaced.

Shocker Hitch Review for towing camper trailer with a Mercedes/Dodge Sprinter Van
I tested the Shocker Hitch for towing a trailer with the Sprinter Van. The difference compared to using a standard (anti-rattle) hitch was shocking, lol. Bumps aren’t transmitted from the trailer to the tow vehicle. With the Shocker Hitch, you feel the tow vehicle hit bumps, but you don’t feel it when the trailer hits the bumps. Without the Shocker Hitch, you feel when the tow vehicle hits the bumps, and again when the trailer hits the bumps. Reduces porpoising of the tow veh

Starlink Mini Quick Release Vehicle Roof Mount Dock With Quick Disconnect Power
There are many vehicle mounts available for the Starlink Mini, but I could not find one that met my needs. I wanted a secure, concealed mount for the Sprinter camper van's roof that I could quickly remove the Starlink from to use it somewhere else. The power also needed to disconnect quickly. Connecting and releasing the Starlink Mini had to be done one-handed, because I'll be standing in the doorway holding on with one hand and reaching onto the roof to remove/install it. Re

Sprinter Van Transmission Cooling For Towing
The Mercedes Sprinter Van transmission is a bit weak for such a large vehicle. It works, but it could use a more heavy duty transmission. I'm speaking specifically about the NAG-1 transmission. One of the issues is keeping the transmission cool, especially in hot weather and when fully loaded, towing, or going up hill. The transmission fluid passes through a radiator, but the cooling air is preheated by the engine radiator. This is good for cold climates, where the transmissi

Leveling Adjustable Bed For Camper Van, RV, and Trailer - How I Made a Leveling and Folding Bed Platform for Mercedes Sprinter Van
Since the van doesn't have leveling jacks, parking on a non-level surface results in sleeping at an angle, which can make it very difficult to sleep. Therefore, I designed the second iteration of the bed to have the ability to adjust the angle in both directions. The bed is attached on one side to 2 vertical t-slot rails on the wall. Hinges are used as the interface between the bed frame and the wall. The hinges can slide up and down the wall. This is the first adjustment tha

Electric Tapping Arm with Magnetic Mounting Base, Workbench and 220V to 110V Converter
Although we can tap parts on the HAAS CNC mill using rigid tapping, it's often quicker to hand tap parts vs setting up the code and fixtures, especially if it's a part that we are not already CNC machining. So we needed to find a tapping arm. Tapping arms traditionally had air powered tapping heads, but there are now many relatively inexpensive electric tapping heads that have much more programmable options, and don't need air, which is loud and inconvenient. The electric tap
How To Use An 18V Ryobi Battery With 12V DeWalt or Hercules Cordless Power Tool
I've needed a cordless extended reach ratchet/socket wrench to save time when working in hard-to-reach places. The Milwaukee one with the low-profile sockets is sweet, but I can't justify the cost for occasional use. If I were using it daily for my work, then it could be worth the investment. Dare I say it [Harbor Freight] actually has a good 12V Cordless 3/8 in. Extended Reach Ratchet sold under the Hercules house brand. They also have a 1/4in version. The watcher looks nice
