Best eFoil Cart for Rolling the Waydoo Flyer Right Into The Water
Electric foil boards (eFoil) like the Waydoo Flyer One+ or EVO are pretty heavy, but what makes them so difficult to carry is more how unwieldy they are than their weight. Our Waydoo Flyer One weighs 60-70 lbs, which is fine for me to carry as a small package, but the combination of large board, mast and wing makes the eFoil a pita to carry fully assembled.
Therefore I end up taking 2-3 trips between the van and shore to carry the board+wing and battery separately. This made me want to find a cart to make things easier.
When I was researching carts, I found out that although balloon beach tires look like the best option, the flotation can make it annoying in the water. Ideally the cart should have neutral buoyancy so it's easy to take off or put on the end of the board.
I had a drop spreader cart that's used for lawn fertilizer or seeding that I was about to throw away. The tub ended up being a perfect fit for the tail of the board. The wheels are open and don't float or hold water. There are no bearings to rust due to water intrusion.
I just had to remove all the spreader related parts from the cart and boom, it was the perfect cart.
FOLDING HAND CARTS
The only issue with the drop spreader cart is that it is large and difficult to store. A cart that folds up small will be the ideal solution. Folding hand carts are quite compact. However the wheels are narrow and not suitable for sand.
